Meet Rachael

Founder of The Loop Model

Owner of Lighter Tomorrow

Rachael is an AASW registered therapist and the founder of The Loop — a structured nervous system framework for understanding obsession, attachment anxiety, and fear of abandonment in dating.

Rather than approaching relationship anxiety as a personality flaw or simply “anxious attachment,” Rachael’s work focuses on the underlying nervous system mechanisms that drive urgency, fixation, and the need to be chosen.

Her model identifies two core processes:

Target Obsession Reflex — the nervous system alarm that fires when connection feels threatened.

Single Target Obsession — the narrowing of attention onto one person as a way to seek relief from that alarm.

This structured approach allows clients to interrupt the loop at its source — not just manage symptoms.

Clinical Background

Rachael has over 5 years of experience in mental health, supporting hundreds of individuals in navigating anxiety, fear of abandonment, relationship instability, and identity-based distress.

She is:

  • An AASW registered social worker

  • A certified Eating Disorder Professional

  • Trained in both brief intervention and long-term psychotherapy

  • Experienced in working with personality disorders, trauma, and complex relational patterns

Her work integrates attachment theory, nervous system regulation, behavioural restructuring, and identity-level change.

Approach

Rachael’s approach is structured, direct, and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Sessions focus on:

  • Identifying nervous system activation

  • Mapping behavioural loops

  • Building regulation capacity

  • Installing secure relational responses

This is not generic relationship advice.

It is targeted intervention designed to shift how the nervous system processes attachment and threat.
